About the position

SSAB Steel Service Center in Oborniki Poland is a part of the SSAB Group and the Special Steels division with headquarters in Stockholm Sweden. As the HR Business Partner your main focus will be to support the Service Center locally in Oborniki with around 100 employees, but also in other parts of Poland. You will be a part of a global company with employees in over 50 countries.

By working closely connected to our managers, the HRBP ensures that the organization has the right prerequisites to deliver on Special Steels strategy. Your day to day work will consist of collaborating with HR colleagues in the SSAB Group locally as well as in other countries, cultures and realities. You play an important part in supporting the mangers to make sure the SSAB Way is anchored among the people in our organization.

You belong to a team of 9 HR Professionals located across the world- Sweden, US, Brazil, China, Singapore and Austria. Together we have extensive experience with the SSAB Business and global HR processes.

Main responsibilities

  • Start up and assist in the implementation of HR Processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, engagement and workforce planning.
  • Represent the HR function and be the gatekeeper of SSAB policies and way of working.
  • Have close cooperation and partnership with line managers regarding all personnel issues.
  • Assists line managers in organizational planning to achieve the right staffing and structure, including the negotiation process.


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, or equivalent experience; solid knowledge of HR processes (labor law, attract, recruit, retain etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize what matters most and what brings the most value to the business.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across organizational levels.
  • You know when to deep dive but also when to take shortcuts according to compliance and business needs.
  • Strong understanding of how to create valuable people processes that help the business deliver on our strategy – Leading the Way.
