What you’ll do As a Mainframe Solution architect for the cluster PS&L (Parts Supply & Logistics), you will be part of an amazing team who is leading enablement to an end-to-end high-performance chain for Volvo Cars Logistics department. This product cluster delivers digital solutions that support our business customers in ensuring stable logistics flows of spare parts to our global destinations. One of the main challenges today is the legacy system landscape in the area where our mission is to simplify and modernize it to serve the future business capability demands. This is an exciting and challenging task for our teams and of course we have fun during this journey.  You will collaborate with Agile Team Managers, Developers, other architects, Group Product Owner, Product Owners, and business stakeholders. You will together with the overall PS&L Solution Architect ensure that common architecture decisions support both business and IT strategies and that designs delivered, both logical and physical, are aligned with architectural standards, blueprints, and roadmaps. You will be accountable for direction, performance, and ongoing health of the current mainframe solution architectures within our Platforms.  Some of your responsibilities are:  •    Supporting PS&L organization and its Mainframe modernization/simplification journey •    Supporting to design architectures, models, and blueprints for initiatives, projects, or solutions that address business, application, data, security, and infrastructure requirements - supporting functional and technical requirements •    Provide technical and IT expertise support to product teams  •    Close collaboration with PS&L Solution Architect and other peers to represent our team in both IT and business networks  •    Ensuring that principles and guidelines for standards are followed in the technical architecture •    Researching and identifying current and future technology trends, services, industry standards, and technology architecture viewpoints to address stakeholders' concerns •    Participate and contribute to architecture forum within PS&L and giving input to decision-making •    Aligning architecture strategy, goals, and principles together with PS&L Solution Architect  •    Enabling and Ensuring development and maintenance of a high-level business IT target for the PS&L domain in collaboration with business representatives, Tech lead, Group Product Owner, Product Owners, and other Solution Architects What you’ll bring  We believe that you are a motivated person who can guide your colleagues in the right direction. We believe that you have:  •    Relevant technical expertise, at least a couple years of experience in a similar position as a Solution Architect, Application Architect, or IT Architect, working with Mainframe solutions •    Hands on experience with modernization initiatives, blueprints, and standards for solution design •    Broad architecture diagramming capabilities and complex data management •    Ability to constructively challenge ideas and design approaches •    Experience implementing and maintaining business solution architectures under any formal framework for their domain of architecture •    Great networking skills with good internal and external links •    Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language •    Enhanced communication, analysis, facilitation, and relationship management skills •    Experience working in a global cross-functional organization where partners, key business partners and team members are geographically dispersed •    Great communication skills in English in both speaking and writing along with an interest in networking and creating relationships and practice in using SAFe •    Academic degree in IT, computer science, or engineering Experience of Supply chain and logistic Industry, Automotive or aftermarket distribution is desirable.
