Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Platform Software Architect with expertise within embedded software and automotive, preferably from the automotive sector. Experience from Volvo Buses or Volvo Trucks would be very valuable. You will conduct the existing electrical architecture and take lead for the future Software architecture solutions for Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC).
The platforms at VBC are developed in close collaboration with Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) and other AB Volvo companies, so it is important that you have the interest to grow your network both within VBC and within other AB Volvo business units.
On a personal level you need to be able to find solutions together with stakeholders in a pragmatic way, be proactive and self-motivated.
Main area of responsibility
As a software architect at Volvo Buses, you will be a part of Inhouse Software Development group within the Electrical and Software Architecture department.
VBC inherit big parts of the Software from GTT but some parts we develop ourselves. We develop the software for the instrument cluster (IC3 + IC-gfx) and the Body Builder interface nodes (BBM, BIM, BIO). Your responsibility is to set the architecture within these nodes, for this and coming platforms.
The role as SW Architect includes:
* Owning the overall solution for architecture within the nodes
* Connecting with other product areas within VBC
* Connecting with other Volvo brands
* Overall structure of signal handling within our ECUs
* Function description for our ECUs
* Logical tables
Valuable experience to bring
To succeed in the role, we think these experiences are valuable:
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical/software engineering or equivalent
* Good knowledge of Develop Product (DP) process and Develop Embedded Solution process
* Knowledge in development tools for embedded SW development
* Experience of coding in C
* Experience of reading and use requirements
* Experience of working with legal demands
* Experience of Functional safety and experience of working with ISO26262
* Experience of working with sensors and electrical experience
* Experience of Autosar, adaptive and/or Classic
* Experience of SystemWeaver/ SE Tool
Meritorious:
* Experience of HMI (qml/java) and understand requirements for HMI
* A solid network within Volvo Group and knowledge of our system and processes
