Who We Are
At Volvo Cars, we are committed to transforming the automotive industry through advanced technology and innovative software solutions. Within our Connected Experience (ConX) unit, we focus on building and refining the ConX Software Factory, a platform dedicated to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) for our entire software development ecosystem. Our goal is to create a seamless developer experience by implementing cutting-edge tools, coding practices, and processes that align with our governance and quality standards. We value collaboration, technical leadership, and continuous improvement to ensure that every piece of software we develop meets the highest Volvo Cars standards.
What You'll Do
As a System Architect for ConX eART Solution Integration and Release, you will lead the product lifecycle of the ConX Software Factory from a technical perspective. You will define and document the system architecture, working closely with the eART Technology Manager to ensure the product roadmap aligns with technological feasibility. Collaborating with various business units and product ARTs, you will foster an inner-source approach and align automation and integration processes across Volvo Cars’ entire ecosystem.
Your role will involve driving technology innovation, resolving technical debt, and ensuring that the ConX Software Factory follows the Unified Software Factory concept. You will work on cost-efficient strategies for technical solutions and hosting, while continuously improving the platform's performance and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you will define KPIs that transparently reflect service quality and ensure that best practices in software engineering are consistently followed.
Who You Are
You are a highly experienced technical leader with at least three years in an architect role within an automotive Software Factory, CICD environment, or another complex product ecosystem focused on automation and testing. With more than five years of experience as a software engineer in embedded development, you are deeply familiar with CICD processes and product development cycles. You excel at cross-functional collaboration, effectively managing diverse stakeholders, and simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical teams.
You have a passion for coaching software developers at various levels and driving continuous improvement in product performance and technical quality. Your problem-solving mindset allows you to identify and address technical debts proactively. Experience in testing product quality, security, and relevant certification standards further strengthens your profile.
If you are driven by technical leadership, collaboration, and innovation, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of software development at Volvo Cars. Join us to build the next generation of automotive software solutions and drive continuous improvement in our ConX Software Factory.
