As a Project Manager within Business Unit Submarines, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving portfolio-related activities across various agile projects and initiatives.

A central part of the role is to ensure that projects deliver in line with contractual commitments, agreed scope, quality requirements, schedules, and budgets. You will monitor progress, identify and address potential deviations, and work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to secure successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a structured and proactive professional with experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration. You are comfortable taking ownership, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and driving progress in a dynamic environment while contributing to continuous improvement of ways of working.

You will report to the Head of Project Management, Business Unit Submarines.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a portfolio of strategic agile projects that shape the future of Saab and deliver lasting business value.
• Lead, inspire, and connect cross-functional teams to turn ambitious goals into successful outcomes.
• Create momentum by guiding portfolio planning, resource management, and execution with confidence and clarity.
• Build strong stakeholder networks and foster collaboration across functions, customers, and partners.
• Promote transparency and engagement through impactful communication, workshops, and portfolio insights.
• Take ownership of contract execution, ensuring commitments are delivered while driving performance, managing risks, and unlocking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• IPMA Level certification (or equivalent) is an asset.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Strategic awareness, analytical ability and governance expertise.
• Strong customer interaction skills and business acumen.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to navigate within a complex organization.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in complex situations.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Experience of agile frameworks for example SAFe, within Lean portfolio management, is an asset
• Knowledge of defense and security industry standards and regulations are an asset

The position includes frequent travel between our Naval sites (Lund, Karlskrona, Landskrona and Helsingborg)

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
