We have large expertise in Chemical Engineering, combining experimental research with modelling techniques. Our division has a strong tradition of addressing both fundamental scientific questions and applied challenges through close collaboration with industry. We work with various sectors, including forestry, pharmaceuticals, refineries, chemicals, automotive, and equipment manufacturers.
About the research project
The main goal of the project is to increase Swedish production of sustainable biofuels by efficiently combining and refining various bio-liquids, including pyrolysis oil made from forest and agricultural residues. The project is interdisciplinary and includes research on catalytic upgrading of bio-liquids, AI-assisted data analysis, and comprehensive system and energy analyses.
The project will involve collaboration with another postdoctoral researcher who is focusing on energy analyses.

Contract terms
The position is a temporary full-time employment for two years.
