Örebro university is now hiring a researcher within the area of cognitive neuroscience of aging, with a particular focus on early life predictors of brain structural and functional connectivity in older age. The research will be conducted within the research environment LEADER (Center for Lifespan Developmental Research), which is headed by Jonas Persson, Professor in Psychology.
Duties and responsibilities
The research duties include preprocessing and analyses of structural and functional brain imaging data obtained by magnetic resonance imaging. A particular focus will be on analysing diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) data to assess structural connectivity and brain network properties in older age and how these related to health, cognition, lifestyle and other factors in childhood and adolescence. Analyses of functional connectivity data from resting-state fMRI images and the relationship with early life predictors is also expected. The applicant will also have a leading role in dissemination of the results through international peer-reviewed publication and presentations.
