Technical Service Engineer & Trainer
- Fire Suppression Water Products
Location: Mölndal, Sweden (Hybrid)
What you will do
As the Technical Service Engineer & Trainer, reporting to the Technical Services & Training Manager, you will be part of a team of 17 people across EMEA (trainers, tech support employees, engineers).
Responsible for technical support, training and design applications of specific water-based fire protection systems for our Nordic customer base.
The Nordic region includes UK and Ireland.
You will support the whole EMEA region with a strong focus on the Nordic region and thus interact a lot with the Nordic sales organization.
The technical services engineer & trainer is in direct contact with customers and/or via first line customer support in Tyco Fire Protection Products sales organization.
The service engineer will deliver technical training within his field of expertise as required.
Employees will gain exposure to the various types of fire protection systems utilized within industry today.
As service engineer you will be introduced to design software as well as nationally recognized design and installation standards.
How you will do it
- Provide Technical & Specification Support to Customers.
- Support the full product range of Water based Fire Protection Systems.
- Build and deliver Trainings for customers and internal employees.
- Provide Design Services and Engineering of typical system solutions.
- Provide advice and support projects by applying Tyco solutions according to international codes & standards (such as NFPA, FM, EN, VdS).
- Write Technical letters/statements on customer requests for specific issues and solutions.
- On request field support for solving technical issues.
What we look for
- A bachelor’s degree in general engineering or similar background through education or experience.
- Experience designing and engineering Sprinkler Systems, including hydraulic calculations and piping lay-outs.
- Experience with SprinkCAD and/or AutoCAD is desirable.
- Customer focused.
- Problem-solver, self-starter and data and analytics driven by nature.
- Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain relevant technological and business concepts that impact our business.
- General knowledge of the Fire Protection Engineering principles and awareness of current industry.
- Understanding and application of the applicable standards such as NFPA13/20/750 and EN12845/14972.
- Good written and spoken local language and English.
- Good communication skills and excellent listening skills are a must.
- Strong, positive interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, particularly with respect to managing customer satisfaction.
- Well-versed in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Salesforce.com & SAP experience is desirable.

- Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
- Willing to deliver customer-facing training.
