Senior SAP Controlling Expert - SAP CO S/4HANA Type of employment: B2B Contract Start Date: ASAP End Date: 2026-06-30 Allocation: 100% Location: Within the EU Way of working: Fully remote Language: fluent English (speak, read, write) Role Description: Our client has successfully gone live with Wave 1 in their S/4HANA transformation program - NextGen ERP. They have just entered "Realize phase for Wave 2" where the timelines are very short. Currently they are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Controlling Expert for their Controlling team. An SAP Controlling Expert specializes in the SAP CO module, which supports an organization's financial planning, monitoring, and analysis. Their work focusses on optimizing controlling processes to ensure accurate insights and effective decision‑making. Key responsibilities include: ✔️ Implementing CO functionalities to streamline processes and deliver actionable financial insights. ✔️ Managing cost centre accounting to accurately track departmental spending. ✔️ Building profit analysis frameworks to assess performance across business areas. ✔️ Developing product costing models to evaluate profitability and production costs. ✔️ Creating reporting solutions that highlight performance by market segment. ✔️ Setting up mechanisms to monitor project‑related costs and activities. ✔️ Establishing integrated financial planning structures aligned with corporate goals. Combining financial expertise with technical SAP knowledge, the SAP Controlling Expert ensures that the system reflects organisational structures accurately while remaining flexible enough to support evolving business needs. Must have proven hands-on experience of the following: ✔️ SAP CO S/4HANA ✔️ General Controlling ✔️ Result analysis ✔️ New service management integration with revenue recognition instead of result analysis ✔️ Cross company from the CO point of view ✔️ Margin analysis (proven experience from client with many legal entities) Nice to have: ✔️ Experience of asset heavy industry/client (PM/EAM) It is essential to be an excellent communicator and to excel in stakeholder management in order to advise and guide the business.
