About the Position Scania Power Solutions is seeking a motivated Cable Harness Design Engineer with interest in electronics to join our dynamic team in Södertälje. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about innovation and development of cable harnesses and electrical components used on our engines.

You will join the cable harness design team where you will plan and manage your own deliveries from start to goal. With support and knowledge from the rest of team of course. The cable harness design work includes creating circuit diagram, bundle drawings and 3D routings. Besides that you will also be responsible for and develop different electrical components and sensors.

So what do we actually do at Scania Power Solutions? We develop and adapt engines for industrial applications such as excavators, crawler cranes, boats. Yes, more or less to everything that isn´t a truck or a buss for a global market. We supply engines to all from dump truck manufacturers in China and South Korea to customers who only buys one engine for a fishing boat in the US. Your role as a cable harness design engineer is crucial for the function of the engine and very challenging since you need to consider the hardware and find ways for the cables. You will also learn about our offerings and our customers. You will learn about our customers applications and challenges that we need to solve together. A curious and motivated mindset is a merit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design circuit diagram, bundle drawings and 3D cable routings. • Develop and test electrical components.

• Lead and manage assignments from concept through to completion.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure form, fit and function.

• Provide technical support and expertise throughout the development and production phases.

• Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• M. Sc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• Proven experience in electrical design.

• Thrives with problem-solving and the ability to work independently.

• Understands the importance of communication and teamwork.

• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
