We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a consultancy assignment with a leading global engineering company. This is a full-time role based in Lund, where you will support product development projects and engineering operations in a collaborative technical environment.

What will this role achieve?

You will contribute to the development and optimization of mechanical products by creating design solutions, maintaining engineering documentation and supporting technical projects throughout the product lifecycle. Your work will help ensure product quality and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical design activities for development projects and customer orders
• Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings in CREO
• Support simulation and engineering analysis activities
• Manage master data and maintain product structures in Windchill PDM
• Develop concepts for new design solutions and participate in design reviews
• Maintain technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design-related issues
• Support engineering change management and continuous product improvements

About you

Requirements:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development or a related field
• Experience working with CREO CAD software
• Experience using Windchill PDM or similar product data management systems
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and technical documentation
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
