The Chassis organization operates in global, cross-functional environments where technical expertise, innovation, and collaboration are key to success. We share a common focus on transforming requirements into sustainable solutions through data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and end-to-end ownership, while building long-term competence and business value. Our team of 12, a mix of engineers, analysts, and XFTLs (cross-functional team leaders), focuses on chassis components, specifically wheel-end systems, and works closely with global development teams and related engineering functions to deliver robust and integrated solutions. We hold product ownership for Disc-Brake, Actuators, pads, and complete Hub assembly, and we're also responsible for Rims and Tyres strategies.
Job description:How you'll contribute
As a design engineer with interest in analysis, you will contribute to the development of our Mechanical brake system by performing calculations for heat, durability, and wear. You will apply technical expertise, analytical methods, and engineering judgement to solve complex problems, and correlate your analytical results with testing and operational data to ensure robust solutions. By combining data-driven strategic support with hands-on project execution, you will help turn business needs into scalable digital and operational improvements, supporting compliance with future emissions legislation while improving customer uptime and sustainability.
Key responsibilities:
We are looking for someone with a strong transformation and collaborative mindset who is eager to learn, explore, and understand the business. You thrive in dynamic environments, embrace new challenges and ambiguity, and take ownership of your own development and growth. With strong analytical skills, you take initiatives and drive tasks forward with determination while bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team. You enjoy building relationships and leveraging a global network to create impact while working collaboratively across teams and functions. In addition, you contribute to a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge, exchanging insights, and supporting the development of others.
We hope that you have a genuine interest in engineering calculations and simulations related to durability, thermal performance, and flow characteristics, and you're curious to deepen your knowledge of wheel-end systems, disc brakes, and simulation-driven development, even if you're still building that expertise.
