At Volvo Cars, we are shaping the future of mobility through innovation, sustainability, and technology designed around people. Within Concept Centre, part of Engineering Operations, we turn ideas into reality by developing concept vehicles, prototypes, and advanced engineering solutions. Our team combines expertise in electronics, software, and mechatronics to create the technologies that will define the next generation of Volvo Cars.

Develop (time, technique, cost) new or improved mechatronics product modules, components, systems, design aspects or functions, using computer-assisted technology and/or leading development tasks internally or at supplier. Responsibilities includes ensuring test and verification of systems or components.

Responsibilities include:

• Product and Solution Development: Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
• Engineering Solutions Design: Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct routine tasks in technical troubleshooting, which include basic diagnostic and simple problem-solving tasks related to equipment and experiments.
• Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users� needs.
• Engineering Drawings: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.

You are a curious and hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and turning concepts into reality. You are comfortable working across multiple disciplines and thrive in collaborative environments where innovation, learning, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in electronics, embedded systems, software development, and electrical schematic design.
• Programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or similar.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Experience with automotive systems, Linux, Android development, CAD tools, lighting technologies, or prototype development is considered an advantage.
