About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Specialist to drive our data quality and stewardship programs. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity and quality towards trusted data, while driving the implementation of effective data stewardship practices across Engineering. You will play a critical role in adapting and managing the implementation of our Data Quality Management Framework and supporting various teams in implementing data protection and governance strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Adapt, introduce, and drive the implementation of the Data Quality Management Framework, including leading key spearhead-cases. • Enhance and roll-out the data quality issue resolution process. • Drive data quality requirements on different processes, technologies, and platforms. • Ensure data quality monitoring across Engineering to maintain consistency and accuracy. • Drive the data stewardship community within Engineering. • Lead the implementation of data stewardship practices across Engineering teams with different domains, needs and maturity levels, promoting a culture of data ownership and accountability. Additional Responsibilities: We are looking for a change agent to help the team building and refining Data Governance Framework and take part of the operationalization of the complete data governance principles. Assist the team in data risk management and data protection, enabling compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. And contribute to the data democratization activities across different maturity levels. Qualification: • Bachelors or Masters in related technical specialisation, with additional training/learnings in data science • Experience in driving federated data governance in data mesh and domain-driven environments. • Holistic awareness of the data and analytics domain and functions in an industrial context • Proven experience in data governance, data quality management, and data stewardship. • Strong understanding of data quality management standards and best practices. • Knowledge of EU Data Act • Ability to lead and drive data quality and stewardship with cross-functional teams. • Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and managing data risks. • Excellent communication and coaching skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. • Excel in communicating and translating complex principles and concepts effectively cross-functionally. • Automotive experience, preferably within R&D. • Volvo Cars experience is meritous.
