Who are we?  Software Platforms is one of the technology areas within Vehicle Technology organization at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The vision for Software Platforms is to provide best in class embedded base SW and technologies for automated integration of application SW, including test platform, that enables SW driven transport solutions for Volvo Group. We foster teamwork and collaboration with continuous improvement mind-set.  We are responsible for the complete life cycle, from strategy to maintenance of the on-board base SW platform, which also implies that the group explores/uses both latest technology and tools. Our current products are based on Adaptive AUTOSAR and Hypervisor technologies. These products are mainly hosted in a High-Performance Vehicle Computation Module (VCM) and the star node of our new platform.  This is how you could make an impact   You will play a crucial role in implementing the on-board Vehicle Software Deployment (VSWD). The scope is strategic and long-term, and you are responsible for the deliveries from early phases of the development cycle all the way to integration and SW releases. The work depends on networking across the organization and influencing the work in different parts of the organization.   Your responsibilities will include:  •    Leading a scrum team of highly experienced engineers and taking full technical ownership of the on-board SW deployment process  •    Taking operational responsibility in the day-to-day work and not hesitating to collaborate to get things done  •    Defining the scope along with the Product Manager and aligning on the expected deliveries   •    Providing open and transparent communication to our stakeholders.  •    Working closely together with other product leaders and suppliers to deliver a complete SW platform  •    Analysing and applying knowledge on new and complex scenarios  Who are you?  We expect you to have a strong drive to deliver results and work in teams combined with leadership skills. It is important that you have an innovative and creative mind-set to deal with technical challenges and deliver solutions.   Your profile may include:  •    MSc Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience   •    10+ years’ experience of working with embedded systems and good knowledge of systems/software engineering/architecture   •    5+ years’ experience of being a technical product leader in an agile setup  •    Experience of working in adaptive and classic AUTOSAR •    Experience of working closely with the hardware and the essential software components •    Experience with working in close collaboration with multiple suppliers  •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
