Supply Chain Operations (SCO) lead, plan and execute the supply of IKEA products between suppliers and retailers, connecting partners and stakeholders in a seamless way. We lead tactical and operational planning, we secure optimal replenishment, we source and develop transport & logistics capacities, and we manage and execute the goods flow. More than 1000 amazing co-workers in SCO connect our customers with IKEA products in a simple, affordable, and sustainable way. As a Supply Operations Manager for North, you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in supply operational performance and its further continuous development in your scope of responsibility. This you will do in close cooperation and alignment with all relevant supply chain stakeholders, to secure availability for our customers at lowest total cost. We want to enable a more long-term focused operational performance together with process development, through strengthening our front led organization further by empowering the execution of our goods flow. This you will do through your fantastic team of Supply Operations Development Managers and Flow Performance Developers. The teams are located in Älmhult and Dortmund which will therefore include distance leadership. You are also a member of the SO management team.

As a Supply Operations Manager you will, among other assignments:

  • Be accountable for logistical operational performance and total cost development from end-to-end within your geographical assignment and creating the best preconditions for an efficient end-to-end goods flow
  • Lead your team and empower them to be truly front lead, by inspiring, showing direction and support, together with securing a continuous development in the assignment both for your organization and for yourself
  • Be responsible for securing performance management, retention and succession in your team and organization
  • Be responsible for good relationships with stakeholders, both inside SCO and outside to secure effective collaboration
  • Be the Chairman in our biggest Market Operations Forums
  • Responsible for escalations in given geographical area
  • Accountable to monitor, share and utilize data on overall level to secure business objectives
  • Responsible for securing excellent results in logistical operational development and performance
  • Accountable for compliance with working methods via Supply Operations Development Managers


You are a strong businessperson with a passion for leading people. You have experience from different leading positions within IKEA Supply Chain. You are goal oriented, have the skill of setting clear direction and follow up on achievements. You are an excellent collaborator and interacts with different stakeholders, building trustful relationships. You have the capability to balance operations management here and now and short and mid term. You enable change and constantly being on the way. You act as a representative for SO/SCO in cross functional forums.

You have proven experience and knowledge in:

  • Leading by example and having the ability to bring out the best in your team and the different partners and organizations you collaborate with
  • Influencing and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of IKEA supply chain
  • Identifying and capturing business opportunities and deliver results with high sense of urgency
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Driving competence development
