We’re looking for a Payroll Manager for a company in Stockholm. Start is ASAP, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Stockholm.
Daily tasks
• Ensure accurate, compliant and timely end-to-end payroll delivery within a large and complex Swedish payroll environment.
• Lead, support and set priorities for the payroll team, ensuring operational stability and clear ownership.
• Monitor payroll quality, controls, risks and service performance, taking action where issues arise.
• Drive process improvements, digitalisation and automation to reduce manual work and strengthen efficiency.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, Rewards, People Services and external providers on payroll-related matters.
• Translate operational needs into clear priorities for payroll systems, integrations and longer-term development.
Minimum technical skills
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Swedish end-to-end payroll within a large or complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Swedish payroll legislation, compliance, controls, reporting and the annual payroll cycle.
• Swedish language a must.
• Experience managing payroll for multiple employee groups and collective agreements.
• Strong understanding of payroll systems, integrations, data flows, troubleshooting and external provider management.
• Experience of payroll transformation, process development, digitalisation or system-related change.
• Experience with SAP and HRM-related payroll flows is highly relevant.
• Confidence using payroll data and reporting to identify risks, support decision-making and drive improvements.
Leadership and experience level
• Senior Payroll Manager or equivalent leadership-level experience within a large and complex Swedish organisation.
• Proven experience leading experienced payroll specialists through operational complexity, change and improvement.
• Able to balance strategic direction with hands-on operational judgement and decisive issue resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to stabilise payroll delivery while building clear structures, governance, processes and longer-term development plans.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and align payroll priorities across senior stakeholders and specialist functions.
• Structured and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to prioritise business-critical activities and create clarity in a changing environment
This role requires fluency in both Swedish and English.
This is a full-time consultant position in Stockholm through Incluso. Start is ASAP, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Stockholm.
