Description/Purpose
As Stockholm International School´s Facilities and Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing the school's non-academic operational tasks. You have the personnel and budgetary responsibility for three units, which include: Facilities and Maintenance, Kitchen staff, and the Security team.
In this role, you maintain a strong presence in the day-to-day operations, working closely with both the staff reporting to you and other functions across the school. You focus on developing well-structured, proactive teams that can anticipate needs and minimise delays. In close collaboration with the school’s leadership teams, you play a key role in driving effective maintenance planning and ensuring the long-term strategic development of security and safety practices.

Required Qualifications, Attributes and Experience
As Facilities- and Operations Manager in a school environment, you must enjoy working with people. In daily operations, it is important that we can quickly adapt and handle more urgent matters. You therefore need to have the ability to adapt yourself and your team to changing circumstances, quickly change approaches and priorities, and make decisions. You will share information and provide continuous feedback to the teams while following up and ensuring the work is completed according to the expected quality. You are also reliable and stand by your opinions by seeing the big picture and prioritising the right issues to achieve the organisation's goals.
At Stockholm International School we are committed to protecting children. Aligned with the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection, we hold ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection. All applicants will therefore be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening. Included in the recruitment process will be a local and national police check as well as a mandatory police background check from the last 10 years of employment in every country worked. A judicial background check will be conducted prior to the issuance of the contract for prospective candidates applying to work at our school.

Contract details:
Permanent Contract (A six-month probationary period)
