Asta Agency is partnering with the company in this recruitment process. The recruitment is managed by Asta Agency, and you will be employed by Asta Agency – with the possibility of being directly recruited by the company over time.

This is not a reporting role. As Interim Business Controller, you will be embedded in the business as a true co-pilot – present when decisions are made, pricing them before they are taken, and ensuring that financial consequence is never an afterthought.

You will own the fully-loaded cost model, deliver reliable cost-per-unit visibility and maintain honest, forward-looking forecasts. You will sit in the plant, the S&OP meeting and the leadership room, partnering each director on their cost drivers and challenging business cases on evidence. Your focus is not what happened last month – it is what happens tomorrow, and what it will cost.

The role reports to the Managing Director, with a functional line to the Group CFO, and interfaces with operations, supply chain, business development, quality and HR. You will be the single source of financial truth for the business unit, and your figures will feed directly into group consolidation, board reporting and external stakeholders.

This is an interim assignment with the possibility of a permanent placement for the right person.

You are a commercially sharp and analytically driven finance professional who is equally at home on the production floor as in a budget review. You communicate financial complexity with clarity, challenge with confidence and build trust across the organisation. You are forward-thinking by nature – you see patterns before they become problems and you guide rather than just report.

You also bring:

• A solid background in manufacturing or industrial environments – this is essential

• Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis and fully-loaded cost modelling

• Proven experience as a business controller or finance business partner, not solely in financial reporting

• The ability to build and maintain budget and rolling forecast processes

• Experience working in a group structure with consolidation responsibilities

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious:

• Experience from contract manufacturing, life science or specialty chemicals

• Familiarity with S&OP processes and operational planning forums

• Experience supporting pricing decisions, margin modelling or make-or-buy analysis

• Swedish language skills

• Start: As soon as possible, preferably before the end of September

• Location: Southern Sweden

• Scope: Full-time

• Salary: According to agreement
