About the position

We are looking for a Buyer for our client, a well-known company withing the automotive industry. You will be working from the office based in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks

As part of the Logistics Procurement team, you will play a key role in developing supplier strategies and securing efficient transport solutions across Ocean, Road, Rail, Air and multimodal services. You will work in a global environment, collaborating closely with suppliers and stakeholders across logistics, engineering and manufacturing to create value through cost, quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects and negotiations
• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies
• Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
• Prepare and execute negotiations, including supplier selection and contract management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Analyze data and market conditions to make informed recommendations and decisions
• Manage supplier agreements and monitor supplier performance
• Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to optimize cost, quality and sustainability
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team and stakeholders across different functions and locations

Your characteristics

You are a proactive, collaborative and commercially minded person who enjoys working in a dynamic and international environment. You have strong communication and negotiation skills, a structured and analytical approach, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking initiative and making data-driven decisions, while continuously looking for opportunities to improve and create value.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university degree or equivalent work experience in procurement, logistics, finance or automotive industry
• Knowledge within procurement and related supply chain services
• Strong project management skills with the ability to successfully drive complex sourcing projects in challenging and uncertain environments
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to support informed decision-making
• Experience in conducting business in a global setting with international suppliers where a strong business acumen is a prerequisite
• Experience in project management, with the ability to create structured plans, set clear priorities, and drive work effectively to achieve goals
• Contribute with a collaborative approach, as well as analytical and organizational skills that drive successful outcomes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English

Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment until 2027-09-20. Start 2026-09-21.
