Company Description

Supply Chain Development (SCD) is one of the business units at IKEA Supply and we are on an exciting journey! By gathering the end-to-end supply chain development and innovation agenda into one organization, embedding management and development of processes and digital solutions into the business, we will meet the future with the right competences and business capabilities. By this we will also create the preconditions to a world class supply chain that enable IKEA to efficiently respond to the ever-changing customer needs.

The IKEA end-to-end processes describe how we deliver value to our customers in an efficient and scalable way, connecting all the different functions across our value chain. They help to streamline our operations, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure consistency in our delivery to secure IKEA uniqueness – our övertag. In today's complex business environment, this is more important than ever.

Job Description

We are going to enable long term success and a fantastic customer experience by strengthening process orientation in IKEA through:

  • Analyze opportunities, gaps, and root causes in the End-to-end Goods Flow process to identify what needs to be developed and how to prioritize and sequence actions.
  • Drive transformative initiatives aiming to improve sustainability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Work closely with other IKEA E2E processes to manage interdependencies, foster collaboration, and define common ways of working.
  • Ensure a unified and holistic approach to business process management, including frameworks and common sources of truth for documentation.
  • Facilitate real-time decision-making and agile responses to market changes via digital tools and data analytics.
  • Define common ways to set goals and measure performance across processes.

We are now looking for a Process Development Leader who will create preconditions for value creation through our processes. As a Process Development Leader, you will, among other assignments:

  • Examine process flows to pinpoint root causes and remove bottlenecks, thereby enhancing the movement of goods. Utilize various tools to drive value for IKEA, such as value stream mapping and other methodologies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and promote collaboration across processes, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach.
  • Communicate processes clearly at different levels of the organization, tailoring messages to stakeholder needs and fostering a process-oriented mindset.
  • Develop, implement, and drive adoption of the Business Process Management (BPM) Framework, including ways of working, process life cycle management, and competence development.
  • Support IKEA’s broader transformation agenda, ensuring process improvements align with the future operating model.
  • Build strong relationships across the value chain, acting as an ambassador for IKEA values and ways of working.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a business-minded, results-driven leader with a passion for supply chain and process development, eager to transform how IKEA operates. You connect the big picture with practical solutions, engaging people in new ways of working and driving change through collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Strong knowledge of the IKEA value chain and passion for supply chain management.
  • Skills in business analysis, scenario planning, and turning insights into clear, actionable decisions.
  • An agile mindset with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and lead change with speed and clarity.
  • Ability to simplify complex processes, focusing on efficiency, integration, sustainability, and customer value.
  • Experience leading in uncertain environments, building trust, and managing multiple stakeholders globally.
  • Proven ability to inspire, develop, and influence people across functions and organizations.
  • Experience in process development, modeling, and business process management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
