If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
What you will do
At Volvo Group you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will lead the Chassis and EEVC Competence Center, a key member of the Cab Over Truck (CoT) Engineering leadership team and be accountable for the cab as a core vehicle system, shaping customer experience, safety, ergonomics, brand identity, and industrial feasibility. You will set the global cab roadmap aligned with product strategies, brand needs, and industrial constraints, and act as a key integrator between platform strategy and brand differentiation, ensuring reuse where possible and differentiation where it matters.
Working closely with Product Owners, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Brands, and other competence centers, you will drive cross-functional execution, innovation, and continuous improvement, enable modular and reusable solutions while support the right level of brand differentiation and regional adaptation to local market needs and regulations. You will also represent the cab engineering function in key forums, communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs, and strengthen governance and ways of working across sites to reduce complexity, avoid late changes, and increase development speed.
Key responsibilities
You will lead and manage the global Chassis and EEVC competence organization, providing technical direction, governance, and support across sites. You will oversee the development and delivery of cab-related architectures and solutions, ensuring alignment with product strategies, brand needs, industrial constraints, and applicable safety and quality requirements. Through close collaboration with Product Owners, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Brands, and other competence centers, you will drive innovation and continuous improvement, enable modular and reusable solutions with the right level of differentiation, and ensure robust, ready-to-integrate cab solutions that support faster vehicle-level decisions. You will actively reduce complexity, late changes, and rework by strengthening ways of working and cross-site alignment and efficiency.
Your future team
You will lead one of the largest competence centers within CoT Engineering, with global teams located in Gothenburg, Lyon, Curitiba, and Bangalore. The Chassis & EEVC Competence Center is a key vertical anchor in the engineering matrix, enabling Product Owners to deliver complete vehicles faster by providing globally harmonized, industrially robust, and regionally adaptable cab solutions.
