About Coffee Stain Gothenburg

Our studio, Coffee Stain Gothenburg, is located in the heart of the beautiful city of Gothenburg, Sweden. We’re a small but passionate team of 17 developers making a big impact on millions of players around the world through Welcome to Bloxburg, one of the top experiences on Roblox.

As part of the Coffee Stain family, a group of several studios totaling over 250 talented individuals, we share a love for creativity, independence, and collaboration. Each studio has its own unique culture and development style, and we take pride in being empowered to shape our own direction while benefiting from the strength of a larger network.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join us and help us make the right decisions at the right time for our Welcome to Bloxburg, an award-winning, top-performing experience on the Roblox platform. In Bloxburg, millions of players design their dream homes, take on various jobs, hang out with friends, and explore a vibrant town filled with creativity and life.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our data, maintaining and building actionable dashboards, and investigating trends in the data. Therefore, it’s important that you feel at home in data analysis and statistics and enjoy working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and explore large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
• Collect, clean, and process data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Monitor and interpret key performance metrics, highlighting meaningful changes and opportunities
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of product and design decisions
• Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams, translating complex data into actionable insights
• Collaborate daily with teammates to align on priorities, insights, and ongoing analyses
• Support product, design, and production teams with data-driven recommendations

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a related role, preferably within games
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau)
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize workload while delivering high-quality results
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present insights to non-technical audiences
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal

We consider it a plus if you have:

• Experience working with live service or free-to-play games
• Familiarity with the Roblox platform or Welcome to Bloxburg
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B testing frameworks, statistical significance, etc.)
• Knowledge of player behavior analytics, retention metrics, and monetization analysis
• Experience working closely with product, design, or live-ops teams
• Passion for games and a strong understanding of player behavior, trends, and engagement drivers

Working at Coffee Stain Gothenburg

We foster a casual and creative work environment where collaboration and passion for games come first. Our team works on-site three days a week to stay connected, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Around the office, you will find activities like our ping pong and pool tables, TVs on which games are played and movies are watched, spaces to lounge, and snacks + drinks in the kitchen! We also host various gatherings and team activities on a regular basis.

We believe in supporting both physical and mental well-being. Through Friskvårdsbidrag, team members can be reimbursed for wellness activities such as gym memberships and are encouraged to take up to two hours per week during work hours for these activities.

Once a month, we host Creative Fridays which are a dedicated day for exploring new ideas, experimenting with tools or concepts outside of daily production, and sparking inspiration for future additions to the game.
