REQUIREMENTS

As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on procurement activities within projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that purchases are cost efficient, technically sound, and aligned with project timelines.

This is a hands-on role where you will be involved throughout the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and negotiations to delivery follow-up and handling changes during the project. It suits someone who is comfortable working in a project driven environment and has the ability to understand and work with technical requirements, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or other complex technical projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute procurement activities in line with project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.
  • Manage tenders, evaluate bids, and support negotiations on pricing and commercial terms.
  • Establish and manage contracts and purchase orders in collaboration with legal, project management, and technical teams.
  • Ensure that procurement activities comply with internal policies, contracts, and relevant regulations.
  • Follow up on deliveries, quality, costs, and supplier performance, and address any deviations.
  • Handle changes, variations, and additional scope throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute with procurement and market insight.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Your background

  • Relevant education within procurement, engineering, business, construction, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to understand technical documentation such as specifications and drawings.
  • Experience working with procurement in a project environment, preferably in technically complex settings.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a commercial mindset.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Comfortable working with business systems and procurement tools.

We also value

  • Experience from construction, infrastructure, or installation related projects.
  • Familiarity with contract frameworks such as AB04, ABT06, or similar.
  • Experience working in larger projects or programs.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, health and safety, and quality requirements in project environments.

Who you are

  • Structured and analytical, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel activities.
  • Clear in communication and able to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of how to balance cost, quality, and timelines.
  • Comfortable making decisions and handling changing conditions in a project setting.
  • Motivated by working in a dynamic, project-based environment.

BENEFITS

We offer you

  • A unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects and play an active role in both the Swedish and international space industry.
  • An excellent opportunity for personal and career development.
  • An exciting, international workplace characterized by an open atmosphere and proud employees all over the world.

Additional benefits

  • In addition to vacation and traditional public holidays, we offer extra paid leave throughout the year, such as time off between Christmas and New Year, Ascension Day, amounting to 6-11 extra days depending on the calendar.
  • Wellness allowance of SEK 5,000 per year.
  • Health benefits such as voluntary health insurance and regular health checks for eligible employees.
  • Access to a benefit bike through a tax-efficient leasing program.
  • Support for employee-driven activities that promote connection, health, and culture across teams.
  • Collective Agreement, including good pensions plans, parental pay and insurance.
