About the position

Perido is looking for an Application Security Engineer for our customer, a large and well-known company in the automotive industry. The position is located in Gothenburg, where the work takes place on site in the office.

Your duties

As an Application Security Engineer, you will be an important part of our security team where you contribute to strengthening and streamlining the work within application security. The role combines technical and coordinating tasks and gives you the opportunity to work closely with both development teams and security specialists.

Your main tasks include:

• Manage and allocate security-related issues to the right team members
• Contribute to maintaining and improving internal documentation such as guidelines, playbooks and knowledge bases
• Communicate with development teams to gather information, follow up on activities, and clarify needs
• Support planning and coordination of initiatives such as the introduction of security tools and vulnerability mitigation
• Participate in retrospectives and process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to daily administrative and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth teamwork

Your qualities

You are structured, take initiative and enjoy handling several tasks at the same time, even when priorities change quickly. You communicate clearly and professionally, especially in writing, and have a natural ability to collaborate with people in different roles and at different levels within the organization. We also believe that you have a genuine interest in cybersecurity, secure software development or risk management, and that you are curious to develop in the field.

Qualifications:

• Degree in information security, computer science or related technical/organizational field
• Relevant work experience
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing

Scope and access

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-12-31. Start immediately.
