About the Assignment

Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Application Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment within motor drive systems software development.

You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team, contributing to the development and functional verification of embedded software for advanced motor drive systems. The role involves hands-on software development, testing, fault tracing and troubleshooting, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software applications for motor drive systems.
• Translate system requirements into software requirements and technical solutions.
• Perform software design, implementation, documentation and functional verification.
• Work with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and vehicle/truck-level verification.
• Conduct fault tracing, debugging and bug fixing.
• Integrate software deliveries and ensure quality and readiness before release.
• Take ownership of technical tasks and actively contribute to engineering deliveries.
• Collaborate with technical teams and support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical development roadmaps and engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development and functional verification.
• Practical knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Good understanding of electrical motor control.
• Experience in application development using MATLAB and Simulink or TargetLink.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to independently drive tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.

Meritorious Experience

• Hands-on experience in fault tracing and debugging.
• Truck driving license.
• Experience within automotive, powertrain control, electromobility or mechatronic systems.
