The Role

You will join the Base Software & Software Architecture organization, contributing to embedded software development for active chassis and suspension systems. You will work within cross‑functional teams involving developers, system engineers, safety engineers, and test engineers to build high‑performance, safety‑compliant vehicle features. Your main responsibility will be developing C++ application software and C middleware for ECUs used in the suspension domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded application software in C++ and middleware in C for Suspension ECUs and Central ECUs.
• Collaborate closely with system engineers, safety engineers, test engineers, and cross‑functional development teams.
• Contribute to full software‑stack development, including algorithms, toolchains, and control functionality for active chassis systems.
• Work in a multicultural environment and proactively communicate within the team.
• Support in‑house software development processes aligned with ISO‑26262 and cybersecurity standards.

Experience and Competencies Required

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of C programming experience (C90/C99).
• Minimum 5 years of real‑time embedded system development experience.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS diagnostic protocols.
• Experience with Vector tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, VTEST.
• Experience with low‑level firmware protocols (SPI, UART, PWM, DIO, PSI5).
• Familiarity with HIL systems and real‑time simulation.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and automotive cybersecurity standards.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work in an international environment.

Meritorious (Nice to Have)

• Portfolio or examples of side projects/open‑source contributions.
• Suspension system knowledge.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with C++11 / C++14.
