Are you an experienced procurement professional ready to take a key role in a global automotive organization? We are looking for a driven buyer with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, build strong supplier partnerships, and contribute to value creation across cost, quality, and sustainability for our client.

About the position

We at Perido are now looking for a Buyer to join our client, an exciting and forward-thinking company in the automotive industry. At Procurement, you will be a part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services – at the right cost, quality, and technology is essential for the success of the company. The position is based in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks

You will be part of the Premium Surface team within the Vehicle Platform organization, with responsibility for all procurement-related activities. In this role, you will lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects, covering preparation, implementation, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, sustainability, and contract management. You will contribute to the development and implementation of supplier strategies and build long-term commercial relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Working proactively with key stakeholders, you will develop a strong understanding of your product or function, its market, supply base, and innovation potential. The role focuses on increasing company value through improvements in cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Responsibilities also include market analysis, prioritization, defining negotiation strategies, and managing business in current production.

To be successful in the role, you need to have a business mindset, with high integrity and professionalism. You are performance-driven with great communication and excellent cooperation skills. You enjoy working co-operatively in teams as well as independently, driving and completing tasks with a positive mindset. You possess negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can handle many issues/projects in parallel. As a person, you need to dare to question the status quo or specific paths with stakeholders, suppliers, people; and work proactively to build a better understanding and work for common solutions.

Qualifications:

• University degree in the relevant area
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from purchasing/procurement
• Negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) with great communication skills in general

Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment until 2026-12-18. Start 2026-03-02.
