This Position reports to: Global Division Communications Manager
As the Global Communications and Marketing Manager for ABB Metals & Power Conversion you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the global communication and marketing strategies for our industry-leading business line. You will be responsible for enhancing the company's brand reputation, driving global marketing initiatives, and fostering effective communication with key stakeholders, customers, and internal teams. This position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, creative vision, and exceptional communication skills to deliver impactful results.
This position is part of the Business Line management team, working closely with the product management team, sales and global communications community to identify growth opportunities and integrate them into the global communications strategy.

Solid line to Division Communications Manager and dotted line to BL Metals & Power Conversion
Main accountabilities:
Strategy & execution
Develop and implement the global communications and marketing strategy for ABB BL Metals & Power Conversion, aligned with business goals, brand guidelines, and the broader division communications & marketing strategy. Own the marketing budget and track performance using key metrics.
Brand positioning & campaigns
Elevate ABB’s brand visibility and reputation in the metals & power conversion industry through integrated campaigns focusing on big ticket and growth themes as agreed with BL Manager & Division Communications Manager - covering digital, content, advertising, trade shows, and product/solution launches.
External communications & thought leadership
Build ABB’s industry voice by driving thought leadership content and maintaining strong relationships with key media outlets, trade associations, and influencers. Leverage media coverage to support strategic business priorities and announcements.
Digital marketing & lead generation
Implement digital marketing & lead generation strategies including marketing automation, social media, and account-based marketing (ABM) to drive demand. Partner with MDR and sales teams to improve lead quality and conversion throughout the pipeline.
Internal communications
Develop and deliver internal communication plans to support alignment, culture, and engagement - through channels such as intranet content, newsletters, town halls, and change communications.
Content & sales enablement
Oversee the creation of compelling marketing content and sales tools - including brochures, videos, presentations, case studies, and white papers - to support sales and engage customers.
Team leadership & market collaboration
Lead and develop a small global team of communication and marketing professionals. Collaborate closely with local unit communication managers across key markets, sales, and product groups to gather insights, align execution, and uncover growth opportunities.
