Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior System Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Lead the development and implementation of automated test frameworks for system-level testing of complex embedded products.
• Design, execute, and maintain automated test cases using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and industry-standard automation platforms.
• Integrate automated test solutions with HiL environments such as dSPACE, NI, and Vector.
• Define verification criteria for features, functions, and field tests, delivering technical test requirements early in the development process.
• Perform physical and virtual testing, including performance and fuel consumption measurements, wind resistance and soiling, climate testing, durability, and noise testing.
• Interpret functional verification needs and translate them into clear test targets.
• Manage customer relationships and develop strategies for executing field tests with new technologies.
• Identify verification needs and convert them into structured test requirements and test plans.
• Plan, prepare, and execute feature, function, or field tests using simulation, rigs, and physical vehicles.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide recommendations within the relevant technology domain.
• Prepare and manage fault reports and compile engineering reports with clear documentation of results.
• Continuously update test methods and contribute to improvements in technical requirements and test strategies.
• Develop new test methods aligned with emerging technologies and transport solutions.
• Deploy and support feature, function, and field testing in new markets and test locations.
• Ensure fidelity and quality of test methods and test codes, acting as a technical expert and go-to person in the domain.
• Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to competence development across the team.
• Demonstrate broad T-shaped competence while deepening technical expertise in key areas.
• Work confidently within the wider Group network and clearly articulate the value created for the business.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in system testing and test automation for embedded systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with HiL environments and real-time simulation platforms.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, verification methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret complex system behavior.
• Experience working with physical and virtual test environments, including performance, durability, environmental, and functional testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders, including external customers during field testing.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others, support team learning, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement of test methods, processes, and technical practices.
