Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Senior UX Lead with strong expertise in Information Architecture (IA) to support the Next Generation Intranet (NGI) program within the Strategy & Communications department.

The NGI initiative focuses on developing a modern, scalable, and personalized intranet platform designed to enhance the overall employee experience across the organization. This initiative will consolidate several existing intranet platforms into a single unified digital workplace, enabling both global consistency and strong local relevance.

As the program progresses into a key phase, there is a need to establish a future-ready information architecture. The current environment involves complexities such as managing global and local content structures, enabling role-based personalization, and addressing duplicated or fragmented information structures.

The Client is therefore looking for an experienced UX and Information Architecture professional who can take ownership of defining and leading the structural foundation of the new intranet, ensuring clarity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

Information Architecture

• Define and document the core information architecture framework, including global navigation structures, content domains, and guiding architectural principles.
• Design a scalable model for site or factory hubs, enabling them to function as a key dimension for personalization.
• Develop a role-based personalization framework aligned with user groups such as employees, managers, and content editors.
• Establish clear principles for managing global versus local content.
• Create and implement taxonomy and metadata structures to enable efficient filtering, targeting, and governance of content.
• Analyze and map the existing intranet structure to align with the future information architecture.
• Facilitate information architecture workshops with stakeholders across global and local teams in different markets.
• Ensure all architecture decisions are clearly documented, visualized, and communicated to both business and technical stakeholders.

UX and Structural Design

• Translate information architecture concepts into navigation frameworks, site maps, and structural blueprints.
• Develop low-fidelity wireframes and user flows to validate structural and navigation decisions.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Technical Architects to ensure the proposed designs are technically feasible.
• Support the development of a content governance model, including ownership and management structures.
• Ensure that personalization mechanisms, including role-based and location-based elements, are reflected in the UX design patterns.
• Provide expertise and guidance in discussions related to platform consolidation, simplification, and long-term sustainability of the intranet structure.

Experience Required

• 8–10+ years of experience in User Experience (UX) with a strong emphasis on Information Architecture within large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing intranet or digital workplace architectures for organizations with more than 20,000 employees.
• Experience working within global organizations that include multiple local business units or factory environments.
• Demonstrated experience in designing role-based or location-based personalization frameworks.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and managing complex organizational requirements.
