As Business Controller at MSC Sweden, you will play a key role in strengthening our controlling function while working closely with our CFO and maintaining regular contact with our headquarters in Geneva.

We are seeking a Business Controller to lead the implementation of controlling processes for our Swedish operations and act as a key link to our global finance teams. In this role, you will analyse operational costs and revenue streams, turning insights into actionable recommendations that drive informed and effective decisions.

You will collaborate with internal teams to strengthen reporting accuracy and implement practices that ensure transparency and reliability. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play an active role in shaping financial processes and building structures that align local priorities with global standards.

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes within business controlling, ensuring alignment with operational needs and strategic goals.
• Analyse revenue streams and drive profit-improving initiatives.
• Periodic review and analysis of operational cost development in collaboration with our shared service centre in Riga.
• Provide timely and qualitative support to key stakeholders such as CFO, Sweden management team, and HQ regional finance team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years work experience in controlling.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency in English (advanced level).

• Experience working with continuous improvement in a structured and methodical way.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI.
• Proficiency in Swedish (both written and spoken).

We’re looking for someone who combines curiosity with a structured mindset. You take ownership and proactively identify both problems and opportunities for improvement. With strong analytical skills, you interpret financial data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Employment: Permanent full-time position with an initial probationary period.
• Location: Our office is based in Gårda, Gothenburg – easily accessible and close to the city centre. You also have the option to rent a parking space outside the building.
• Team: This position is an expansion of our Finance team in Sweden and reports directly to the CFO.
