About the program and position
The European Graduate Program is designed to attract and develop newly graduated talent to ensure SSAB’s future critical competencies. Over the course of 14 months, you will be engaged in a series of workshops and lectures that provides in-depth knowledge of SSAB’s operations, leadership practices, and a wide network of professional contacts.
The program includes visits to SSAB’s production sites in Finland and Sweden, as well as an individual trip to a business location of particular interest. Throughout the program, you are paired with a senior mentor who provides personalized guidance and support. The program concludes with a final presentation to SSAB’s management team, where you will present your learnings and experiences.
About the position:
As a Sales Business controller, you will support both operational and strategic activities within the sales organization to optimize customer and product profitability according to set targets and guidelines. You will identify market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions, and communicate these to sales management to enhance business performance. Business Controller has strong business partnership within different functions focusing on commercial decision-making and business support. Therefore, collaboration is essential—you will interact with area Sales Management, Divisions Finance Organization, colleagues within the Sales Business Controlling team, Operations Controlling, GBS (Global Business Services), Corporate Business Controlling, and occasionally Corporate Tax and Finance.

My name is Ulf Hansson, and I am proud to lead the international Sales Business Control & Credit Management function. We are a team of eight people, including myself, located across Sweden, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. I am based in Halmstad on the west coast of Sweden together with one of my team members. Our team consists of three Business Controllers supporting our subsidiaries in Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, three Sales Business Controllers covering all sales areas within the SSAB Europe Division, and the division’s Credit Controller.
In our team, people have the freedom to influence and steer their own work, and with that freedom comes responsibility. I expect results, but I never leave anyone outside—I am always ready to support when needed. We value collaboration, accountability, and getting things done!
In this role you will get the chance to work closely with SSAB Europe Division’s sales steering teams.
