We are currently looking for an exceptional Composite Design Engineer to join one of Sweden’s most advanced defense and aerospace programs. This is a consulting assignment where you'll be embedded in a high-profile development team focused on conceptual and structural design of next-generation military aircraft.

Assignment OverviewYou’ll be working directly on behalf of our client—a global leader in defense aviation—supporting their internal design organization. The focus is on conceptual structural design using both composite and metallic materials, ensuring optimal performance, strength, and manufacturability of critical aircraft components.
You’ll engage across teams, including systems, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and structural analysis, to deliver high-quality solutions for future combat aircraft platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the conceptual design of composite and hybrid (composite/metal) structures
Participate in multidisciplinary engineering teams and design reviews
Create models and detailed drawings in CATIA V5/V6
Collaborate with structural analysts to ensure airworthiness and compliance with military requirements
Evaluate material choices and drive innovation in structural solutions
Liaise with production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Support integration of structural solutions into larger airframe assemblies
Must-Have Experience:
8+ years in aerospace design engineering with a focus on composite materials
Significant experience with metallic structures in an aerospace context
Proven background in conceptual design for military or high-performance aircraft
Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD tools
Good understanding of structural mechanics, FEM, and materials behavior
Ability to navigate a matrix environment and work within large, multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred:
Experience from large aerospace primes or defense contractors
Familiarity with Swedish defense sector requirements is a strong plus
Fluent in English (Swedish is a bonus, but not required)
