The opportunity
We are looking for Strategic Buyer to join our team and help us drive growth and success in Transformers category.
As a strategic buyer you will be part of a key regional function in driving and coordinating strategic sourcing activities together with our external suppliers and internal factories.
You will be a main channel of communication towards internal stakeholders such as: sales, project management, engineering and project supply chain buyers.
At the same time, you will also support in solving day-to-day issues to minimize any disturbances in our supply chain.
How you'll make an impact
- You will identify, develop and secure best suppliers within quality, cost competitiveness and sustainability.
Develop regional agreement when suitable to secure and increase Spend under Contract KPI and to secure when possible, capacity.
- Work closely with project teams in tender and execution on RFQ’s, supplier proposal and evaluation of supplier quotations.
Propose alternative suppliers from the standpoint of regional strategy and supplier capacity to leverage project timeline and cost.
- Work closely with category specialist and project supply chain buyers in the region to support project deliverables.
- Drive and negotiate with suppliers on project terms, prices and lead times and other contractual terms.
- Collaborate with global category leads and category manager/strategic buyers in other regions to leverage purchasing power and maximized cost savings.
- Drive and execute regional product strategy and continuous improvement initiatives incl supplier performance evaluation.
- Collaborate strongly with regional M&S, tender and engineering teams.
Your background
- You hold bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or related business fields.
- Technical and market knowledge about Power Transformers
- 3-5 years of work experience from similar position.
- Excellent communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude.
- Experience working with multinational company is highly preferable.
- You are fluent in English, Swedish is a plus.
