About the role:
We’re seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist with an unwavering commitment to meticulous production.
The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional who has the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in accuracy, security, and safety.
The specialist will be charged with developing a complete QA program that not only safeguards product quality but also fosters a culture in which all employees are actively engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing automation scripts to validate the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of software products.
- Integrating automation testing protocols with existing code and engineering processes.
- Analyzing problems, diagnosing root causes, and resolving defects.
- Working closely with development teams to create automation strategies and deployment processes.
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Reporting results and feedback to software development teams and stakeholders.
- Maintaining documentation for automated processes, test results, and troubleshooting guides.
- In their day-to-day activities, QA Automation Engineers undertake several critical tasks:
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
- Executing tests using automated tools and reporting the outcomes.
- Conducting regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Attending to all aspects of automation testing, including performance, security, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Updating automated scripts to adapt to new test cases or changes in software design.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality release of software products on time and within budget.
Education & Experience:
- A B.
Sc or M.
Sc in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with test automation related to the embedded/hardware-related field.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles.
- Scripting experience in Python and/or Bash or similar.
- Familiarity with Embedded systems; advantageous to have knowledge of embedded C, but we’re primarily seeking general understanding.
- General knowledge of Linux, particularly Ubuntu and Debian.
- Familiarity with various Python test libraries such as Robot and Behave.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation.
- Expertise in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Docker and GitHub Actions.
- Experience in agile/DevOps environments and tools like Sentry, Databricks, and PowerBI.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6) or TypeScript.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and web application testing.
Preferred Skills:
- Maintaining the bug database
- Understanding the systems specifications
- Being familiar with tools for test management and bug tracking
- Understanding certain programming languages
- Soft skills like communication skills, empathy, attention to detail and problem solving skills
