Sandvik Coromant and Business Unit Solid Round Tools – our fastest growing area in the company – is now looking for a Global Product Manager within metal cutting. Welcome to a team of ten competent and helpful colleagues acting in a developing and innovative environment!
Your mission
In this position, you identify, develop and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions. You translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products. To lead, plan and track all phases of the product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace, is an important part of your job. You constantly strive to exceed expectations and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvements!
The location for this position is preferably Sandviken, Sweden. Other locations in Europe or close to our markets in USA, China or India could also be an option. International travel is part of your job, for approximately 25%.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with an engineering background and technical knowledge in metal cutting. Your background includes stakeholder management while we see it as a plus if you have experience from product management, leading R&D projects or sales. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent communication skills in English.
You’re well organized with a product focus and the drive and ability to prioritize your work. Taking initiative is something that comes naturally for you, and with your enthusiasm and team player focus you easily get people on board. You have a diplomatic approach and escalate when needed.
