Your mission

In this role, you’re responsible for our Planning function, working with the goal of optimizing the replenishment of our stock points in close collaboration with production management, global planning, regional teams, and our purchasing department. You also manage our Customer Service function for Rotary – the first point of contact with Sandvik's regional teams and customers – where the team is responsible for order reception, shipments, handling returns and stock transfers.

Together with relevant functions, you deliver long-term volume plans, develop short-term detailed plans for production flows, and coordinate and develop production flows with departments such as production, warehousing, purchasing and global planning. Naturally, this includes analyzing production capacity to identify improvement opportunities. To stay two steps ahead, you and your team manage deviations and propose actions to minimize their impact on delivery precision, production, and in addition, participate in in- and out phasing of products, and lead and participate in projects aimed at improving planning processes and systems. As digitalization is high up on our agenda, you drive the implementation of digital solutions and automation.

You’re based at our production site in Sandviken, Sweden.

Your profile

We’re looking for a leader with expertise in planning and experience of driving development of planning processes and tools within the manufacturing industry. You have experience with SAP S/4HANA and a deep understanding of relevant processes, materials, and market needs. Your experience is backed by a relevant university degree in a field such as engineering, logistics, industrial economics, or supply chain management. As we work locally and globally, you need skills in both Swedish and English.

We highly value your personal qualities, characterized by great problem-solving skills and an analytical toolbox. As a true collaborator, you effectively interact with other teams and guide the way forward with multiple organizational counterparts. The knowledge, interest, and drive to take on the digitalization of your area of operations and create conditions for data-driven improvements are key traits to thrive in this role. With your good communication and initiative skills, you can lead, motivate, and inspire employees, and your leadership includes setting, communicating, and following up on clear goals.

Our culture

Our role is clear – through every action, every day, we make the shift and advance the world through engineering. We believe in an inclusive, equal and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving great results. Add fair and rewarding benefits, as well as many different career options. Are you intrigued? Visit our website, LinkedIn or Facebook page to get to know us further.
