We are looking for a Strategic Design Director within our department IXI – Corporate Digital Experience. The ideal candidate is a lead expert role who works closely with our strategists, UX- and UI-designers and other creatives in setting the holistic direction for a premium digital Scania experience, by running strategic initiatives across departments, Scania and TRATON – in the intersection of Digital Experience, Branding and Digital Product Development. As a Strategic Design Director you are a confident and articulate spokesperson who can lead, excite and engage teams and departments. A Strategic Design Director is also involved in strategic planning, partnership development, stakeholder events and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop digital experience standards and initiatives from a design
  • and brand perspective.
  • Ensure a consistent and premium holistic Scania experience.
  • Maintain high standards and ensure exceptional craft among other designers.
  • Identify and research potential partners and collaborations. In Scania, in TRATON, in the Volkswagen Group and outside of it.
  • Identify, start and run strategic initiatives that directly or indirectly improves the premium experience of Scania.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with IXI’s stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and departments in Scania and TRATON, such as KY, R&D, Communication, Brand Management or IT, to identify opportunities or solutions that will improve the overall digital Scania experience.
  • Report on the progress and outcomes of the goals and objectives of strategic initiatives.
  • Support IXI management team in strategic planning and execution.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ work experience within design, preferably from agency or a global company.
  • Experience from strategic design work and digital product development,
  • within both automotive and other industries.
