Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Women's Junior Designer to join our RTW team in the Stockholm Atelier. We believe you have a high fashion sense and a strong feeling and intuition for trends balanced with a commercial eye. As a Junior designer, you are responsible for supporting the Product designer in designing outstanding products for the assortment within your scope, always with the target customer in mind to maximize sales and profitability.

You encourage and contribute to the shared responsibility of creating and protecting an inclusive and welcoming workplace where everyone is allowed to self-identify.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist the design function with designing the assortment
• Create and update sketches and technical files
• Update overviews, color charts, prints and presentation material
• Assist in fittings and update sketches accordingly to the new information
• Constantly follow the selling and act on new tendencies as well as search for the new commercial fashion
• Be involved in identifying what products the customer will be demanding next season

Qualifications

We would love to meet someone who:

• Has a Fashion Design BA/MA and relevant work experience from different garment groups, preferably within Womenswear
• Is excited about and understands the & Other Stories customer
• Has knowledge of design and product development
• Has a passion for style & products and driving new fashion
• Is visionary and driven by trend analysis to be able to predict what the customers will demand a year from now
• Has strong aesthetic and design process ability to create strong products for our customer
• Has excellent technical knowledge of how products are created and knows fabrics, materials, trims and how patternmaking creates the best fit and design
• Has strong skills in and used to working in Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Has a positive problem-solving attitude and is always eager to find new ways
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is a team player and has a straightforward communication ability adding to an open atmosphere that allows growth.
• Has great English skills, written and spoken

This is a full-time position based in Stockholm, to start asap and you will report to our Design manager.
