1. Role Summary

The Senior Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level software solutions aligned with customer business requirements and technology standards.

The role requires specialized expertise in Java, Python, cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, AWS cloud services, and enterprise system integration.

The Senior Consultant also acts as a key technical point of contact between the customer and delivery teams, providing architectural guidance, technical leadership, solution design, and delivery coordination to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

• Design and develop scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications using Java, Python, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS cloud technologies.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into solution architectures, technical specifications, and implementation designs.
• Evaluate technical alternatives and recommend appropriate architectures, integration patterns, and technology solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with customer architecture standards, security requirements, and long-term technology strategies.

Cloud Engineering & Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, and RDS.
• Implement RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, and distributed application integrations.
• Develop and optimize application components using Java, Python, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Apply cloud architecture principles to improve application availability, scalability, performance, and operational reliability.

Technical Consulting & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, solution architects, business analysts, and development teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct technical discussions, requirement analysis, solution assessments, and design reviews.
• Provide expert technical recommendations and support decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Act as a technical point of contact for customer communication, solution clarification, and technical issue resolution.

Technical Leadership & Delivery Management

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to software engineers and development teams.
• Coordinate technical activities, task prioritization, solution implementation, and delivery commitments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning.
• Identify technical dependencies, implementation risks, and delivery challenges, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and timely delivery of software solutions.

Database & Enterprise Integration

• Design and implement database-driven applications using SQL and relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Develop enterprise integrations using REST APIs, messaging services, and event-driven communication patterns.
• Support data consistency, system interoperability, transaction processing, and integration reliability.
• Analyze and optimize database queries, application performance, and integration workflows.

DevOps, Deployment & Production Support

• Support CI/CD implementation, automated deployments, and infrastructure management using Git, Docker, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain reliable deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve complex application, integration, and production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive improvements to enhance system stability.
• Support application monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance.

Quality Assurance & Engineering Standards

• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, coding standards, security principles, and architectural guidelines.
• Conduct technical reviews, code reviews, and solution quality assessments.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Promote automated testing, maintainability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.

Technology Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate emerging technologies, cloud services, and engineering practices to identify opportunities for solution improvement.
• Recommend technical enhancements that improve scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Promote knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and continuous skill development within engineering teams.

Programming Languages: Java, Python, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
