At Saab Surveillance, Procurement plays a critical role in ensuring delivery capability, supply resilience, competitiveness, and business performance. As part of our Procurement transformation journey, we are strengthening our local procurement organizations and are now looking for a Senior Procurement Leader Operations to take a leading role in developing operational supply performance and strengthening the connection between Production, Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement. We are recruiting for this role at both our Gothenburg and Stockholm sites.

The role offers significant exposure across the organization and the potential to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time. As Senior Procurement Leader Operations, you will be responsible for developing and leading the site's operational supply capability, ensuring high delivery performance, strong operational coordination, and effective collaboration between Procurement, Production, Planning, and other key stakeholders. You will act as Procurement's primary operational counterpart towards Production and Planning, driving operational priorities, managing supply-related risks, and ensuring that materials, components, and supplier commitments support business and production needs. Working closely with Procurement Managers and their teams, you will drive supply performance, identify and mitigate risks, improve ways of working, and strengthen the Procurement organization's ability to support production and customer commitments.

The role combines operational leadership, stakeholder management, continuous improvement, and supply chain development. It is a key functional leadership role, supporting managers, team leads and operational buyers driving performance in our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Supply Performance

• Drive operational supply performance and delivery capability across the site.
• Follow up and improve key operational KPIs.
• Supports recovery plans and escalation activities impacting production or customer commitments.
• Organize and facilitate regular operative meetings and daily coordination.

Production & Planning Interface

• Act as Procurement's primary operational counterpart toward Production and Planning.
• Coordinate priorities, capacity considerations, and supply-related activities across functions.
• Facilitate collaboration between Procurement, Production, Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Engineering.

Operational Procurement Development

• Build the future operational supply organization within Procurement.
• Drive standardization and best practice
• Implement and ensure processes, methods, and governance across supply chain teams
• Support implementation of new tools, working methods, and improvement initiatives.

We believe you are a driven, collaborative, and solution-oriented leader who enjoys creating structure and driving progress in complex environments. You combine operational understanding with a continuous improvement mindset and are comfortable working across functions to achieve shared goals. You are equally comfortable discussing supply risks with Production Management, operational priorities with Planning, and improvement opportunities with Procurement colleagues.

We believe you have

• Several years of experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Production Planning, Logistics, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading teams, projects, workstreams, or operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and operational execution.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience from manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex environments is considered highly beneficial.

This role is designed for someone who wants to combine operational leadership with organizational development. As the Procurement organization evolves, the Senior Procurement Leader Operations role may develop into a broader leadership position with increased responsibility for operational purchasing and supply capabilities.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
