The final phase of a delivery is where our technology truly proves itself. Installation at the shipyard, commissioning, HAT and SAT, final acceptance, and the warranty period are critical stages in ensuring that the vessel performs as promised. They are also the moments that shape the customer’s lasting impression of our delivery.
To strengthen our focus on this critical phase, we are now establishing a new Commissioning & Warranty function and are looking for two individuals to join the team who want to help shape it from the start. In this role, you will take operational responsibility for the delivery through its most decisive stage, where engineering is transformed into real-world performance and customer value.
What you will be doing
As Responsible for Commissioning & Warranty, you are operationally responsible for a delivery from formal project handover, after FAT and delivery of the equipment, until the customer is transferred to standard Aftermarket support. You will plan, coordinate, and drive the delivery forward through arrival inspection, installation support, commissioning, HAT and SAT, customer acceptance, the warranty period, and ultimately formal warranty closure. Your mission is clear: keep everything moving until we leave behind vessels that perform as promised and customers who trust us to deliver again.
Throughout this journey, you will be the customer’s primary operational point of contact, providing continuity, direction, and clear ownership from one phase to the next. Internally, you will be the connecting force between our technical, operational, and supporting functions, bringing the right people together, aligning priorities, and ensuring that the delivery continues to move forward.
In practice, you will:
You work within a clear mandate. Decisions on prioritization, technical resolution paths, resourcing, warranty assessment and settlements within your delegated authority are yours to make. The Project Manager remains accountable for the overall project, and the genuinely large questions are escalated but you are expected to solve, not to forward.
We think you should have
You have led projects before and know what it takes to keep stakeholders aligned when schedules are under pressure. You are comfortable being the main point of contact for customers and enjoy balancing technical, commercial and operational perspectives to move a project forward.
We believe you have several years of experience in project management, commissioning management, or aftermarket/service management, preferably within the marine, offshore, energy, or other capital equipment industries. You hold a technical degree or have gained equivalent knowledge through practical experience. You have worked closely with shipyards, customers and suppliers, handling deviations, claims and commercial discussions, and you possess a solid technical understanding that allows you to actively participate in discussions with engineers and service technicians, form your own view of technical challenges, and contribute to finding solutions.
You are comfortable working across multiple IT systems simultaneously, such as ERP platforms, case and claim management systems, documentation tools and reporting solutions. You also have a good understanding of contracts, warranty terms and the commercial impact of technical decisions. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, while Swedish is considered an advantage. The role also involves occasional travel to shipyards, vessels and customer sites as needed, although travel is not the primary focus of the position.
Just as important as your experience is the way you work. You are structured and proactive, with a natural ability to bring tasks to completion rather than letting them drift. You remain calm and professional in challenging situations, focusing on finding solutions and building strong relationships. You communicate clearly with people from different cultures, backgrounds and levels of an organization, and you take ownership of your responsibilities without waiting to be directed.
