About Sirius:

Starting small, dreaming big

In 1994, the Backman family launched Sirius Shipping on Donsö, an island known for its maritime heritage. It all began with one small tanker and a family fully involved in every aspect—from ownership to crewing. This close-knit approach laid the foundation for Sirius’s culture and its future expansion.

Growing together

Through the years, Sirius has thoughtfully grown its fleet, selecting ships that meet our rigorous standards and embody our commitment to quality and efficiency. The fleet includes over a dozen vessels, ranging from product tankers to innovative LNG bunker/ feeder ships. We continue to modernize and adapt to an ever-evolving industry. The family owners are very present in the day-to-day business, ensuring our high standards. We’re also committed to sustainability through our Pathway to Zero initiative, aiming for a greener future with our Pathway to Zero vessels.

In Sirius we do thing the The Sirius Way. Our values are the guiding beacons of our culture and they outline the behaviours we all strive for at Sirius:
