SAP Consultant - Job Description

Position: SAP ABAP Developer / SAP SD/MM Consultant

Location: Flexible / Remote / Onsite

Experience: 5+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP professional with strong expertise in SAP ABAP development and/or SAP SD/MM functional consulting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality SAP implementations and support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Develop and enhance SAP applications using ABAP, including reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and workflows.
• Configure and support SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and/or MM (Materials Management) modules.
• Design and develop integrations between SAP and external systems.
• Work with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation.
• Participate in SAP implementation, rollouts, upgrades, and support projects.
• Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills

ABAP Candidates:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Experience with:
• Reports, ALV, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
• BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements
• IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, OData
• Debugging and performance optimization
• Experience with S/4HANA custom developments is preferred.

SAP SD/MM Candidates:

• Strong configuration and support experience in SAP SD and/or MM, and GTS.
• Knowledge of:
• Sales order processing, pricing, billing, delivery processes
• Purchasing, inventory management, procurement, and material master data
• Integration with FI, WM/EWM, and other SAP modules
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA projects is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of SAP experience in ABAP development and/or SD/MM consulting.
• Experience working in implementation, rollout, migration, or support projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have

• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• SAP Fiori/UI5 knowledge.
• Experience with SAP BTP integrations and extensions.
• SAP certification in ABAP, SD, or MM modules.
