The Opportunity
HVDC is a technology that allows for an efficient and clean transmission of electricity over long distances, the interconnection of different grids and supports the green energy transition by allowing renewable energy to be interconnected to the grid. The team at HVDC Products are designing, manufacturing and testing the converter valves for HVDC and SVC applications.
As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Valve Cooling System team. The Valve Cooling System is a pressurized closed loop system with air cooled heat exchangers to dissipate power losses generated in high power converter valves. It is designed to meet the HVDC and Client requirements regarding performance, reliability and low maintenance. Our systems consist of pumps, vessels, filters, measuring devices, heat exchangers, interconnecting piping and redundant control and protection systems.
