We're looking for an Operational Excellence Manager to own operational excellence across your market area. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Operations Excellence Consultants while protecting our brand and operational standards, and partner with Operations Directors to drive consistent, high-quality execution across our coffee shops.

What You'll Do

As an Operational Excellence Manager, you'll make sure the right procedures, equipment, and products reach our coffee shops in the right way, and that our shops run with consistent routines, systems, and standards. You will follow performance closely across your market area, identify best practices and areas for improvement, and work with Operations Directors, the Operations Deployment Manager, and teams across Espresso House to turn them into lasting change. It's a central role with a direct impact on company results through operational efficiency and shop improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team – lead, coach, and develop a team of Operations Excellence Consultants, fostering a high-performance culture and clear accountability.
• Own and protect operational standards – lead the work to set and develop coffee shop ways of working, routines, and systems.
• Drive performance and continuous improvement – follow up on performance across your market area to identify gaps and best practices, in close collaboration with the Operations Services Manager, and drive improvements in internal processes.
• Support deployment – support the Operations Deployment Manager in bringing changes to market through the Operations Excellence Consultants.
• Collaborate across the business – partner with Operations Directors across your market area to ensure aligned execution and contribute to our development strategy with input on testing, ways of working, and operational best practice.
• Own additional functional areas – take accountability for specific functional areas within Central Operations alongside your market responsibilities.

Experience & skills

• Education – Academic degree in Business, Management, or equivalent.
• Operations experience – 6+ years in operations within the food, drink, or restaurant industry driving operational excellence and standards.
• International experience – Experience working in an international organisation across multiple markets and cultures.
• Team leadership – Experience leading and developing a team.
• Communication skills – Fluent in English.

Experience within retail, restaurants, hotels, or other businesses with a large number of locations is considered an advantage.
