One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Head of Accounting and Reporting, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You can create a close and reporting environment where accuracy, pace and accountability reinforce each other.

The partner is strengthening group accounting, statutory reporting and financial control across several entities. You will lead the function, improve governance and ensure that complex accounting questions are resolved consistently and communicated clearly.

Finance leadership is expected to protect trust in the numbers while improving the quality and pace of business decisions. Strong performance combines control, commercial judgement, clear priorities and development of the people delivering the work.

You will combine leadership of the finance agenda with direct engagement in important decisions and exceptions. The partner expects clear standards, useful challenge and enough technical depth to support the team when judgement is required. Improvement must strengthen both control and service.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for direction, governance and the capability of others. You will create enough structure for teams to move independently while stepping into detail when risk or ambiguity demands it. The partner wants visible ownership without unnecessary hierarchy.

• Lead group and statutory accounting processes.

• Own close governance, consolidation and reporting quality.

• Set accounting policies and resolve technical questions.

• Develop internal controls and balance sheet assurance.

• Lead and develop accounting specialists and entity teams.

• Coordinate auditors, tax, treasury and finance systems stakeholders.

• Extensive senior accounting and reporting experience.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting.

• Evidence of leading teams or cross entity processes.

• Advanced consolidation and control understanding.

• Ability to communicate technical accounting decisions clearly.

• Professional English and strong executive judgement.

• Listed company or private equity environment.

• ERP or consolidation system implementation.

• Acquisition accounting and integration.

Your background may be group accounting, audit, financial reporting or controllership. The strongest fit will combine technical credibility with the ability to build predictable processes and develop people across organisational boundaries.

You will own a critical finance capability with visibility at executive and board level. The partner offers complex questions, a meaningful improvement mandate and the opportunity to build confidence in external and internal reporting.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
