Join us in shaping the future of energy! As a Technical Area Manager for medium voltage equipment within Development & Standards, you will play a key role in bringing new products to market and be part of a dynamic team developing and maintaining standard solutions for our gas turbine portfolio.

As a Technical Area Manager, you will lead the strategic development of our product solutions within the area. In this fast-evolving energy landscape, you will address a variety of challenges, from discussing technical topics with suppliers to supporting bid management in selecting solutions for customers. Working closely with multiple departments, you will contribute to product development projects, develop new solutions, and support existing products throughout their lifecycle, all within a flexible hybrid work environment.

At Development & Standards, we develop and maintain product solutions that help reduce delivery times in customer projects while continuously improving existing solutions based on market feedback and operational experience. We work closely with suppliers and other departments to ensure effective collaboration.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will be responsible for standardized solutions for medium voltage equipment, including electric generators, and contribute to the development of strategies within the technical area. You will provide technical support for product development projects and be involved in conceptual and detailed design, prototyping, analysis, qualification, production support, and the creation of associated documentation.

• Lead the medium voltage area within Development & Standards, including assigned tasks and R&D projects, with a focus on standardized solutions for new and existing products.
• Develop and maintain standardized technical solutions for our gas turbine portfolio, ensuring they meet current and future requirements.
• Deliver work in line with company strategy, schedule, and quality targets.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the department by identifying opportunities for process improvements, equipment enhancements, and relevant training initiatives.

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, preferably within electrical generators and/or power grids.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and self-motivated mindset.
• Structured, adaptable, and able to work independently while meeting project milestones.
• Innovative problem-solver who challenges assumptions and contributes new ideas.
• Understanding of product lifecycle, quality, and cost management.
• Experience with Teamcenter and Microsoft Office.
• Experience from gas turbines, heavy machinery, or electric generators is considered a merit.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage.

Our department consists of approximately 55 dedicated development engineers specializing in the electrical aspects of gas turbine packages. We develop standardized solutions that can be tailored to customer-specific requirements by order engineering. With expertise in low- and medium-voltage equipment, control systems, and electrical installation, we support product development projects and are responsible for sustaining all active products related to package electrical equipment and installation.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
