About us

At Renasens, we’re a small team building something ambitious: a textile recycling technology that will change the world.

We have developed a waterless process using minimal energy and chemicals with a neutral impact on fiber quality. This allows us to recycle the most challenging textile waste: blended post-consumer polycotton in any colour, with any additives, composition, or quality, utilizing what is currently the most common yet unwanted fraction of textile waste.

A valid EU and Sweden work permit is required.

Role overview

Seeking a skilled textile chemist to innovate in recycling processes and sustainable materials for the textile industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize chemical modification techniques for textiles (e.g., impregnation, functional layers, compatibilizers)
• Develop formulations or treatments to improve fiber interface performance and stability
• Analyze surface chemistry using techniques such as XPS, SEM, FTIR, or contact angle measurements
• Collaborate on scale-up strategy for coating and functionalization methods

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in Textile Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry or related field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in the textile industry
